The Dominican Society of Edmonton was founded to keep our culture alive while supporting the Dominican community in Edmonton, Canada. We are a welcoming space to celebrate our heritage, guide newcomers, and build strong connections among Dominicans and friends of our culture.

Settlement & Onboarding
Practical guidance to help newcomers adapt to life in Edmonton — navigating the medical system, getting a driver’s licence, finding rental housing, and understanding local services.
Community Support
Volunteer-based help such as rides to and from the airport, support with hospital visits, and assistance recording videos of rental properties when renting from abroad.
Professional & Social
Networking events, career and resume advice, church connections, and workshops to raise awareness about scams. We also promote Dominican and local businesses.
Culture & Identity
Activities and events that celebrate Dominican culture and traditions, bringing our community together while sharing our heritage with Edmonton.
